SW-ACR New Environmental Protection Aluminum Copper Rare Earth Alloy Grounding Material

The surface of rare earth alloy grounding material is treated by special process, and the surface corrosion product is nanometer level. The corrosion product is small and dense, which prevents harmful ions in the soil from entering the substrate through the corrosion product film to cause further corrosion, and improves the corrosion resistance of the product. The corrosion resistance of rare earth alloy is 6 times that of galvanized steel.

  • Description
  • In the construction of substation grounding grid laying, raw material profiles are generally used for on-site cutting and processing, and the forming size is relatively random. Especially in the welding of various joints and nodes, due to the lack of technical measures that can be controlled on site, the quality requirements of joints and nodes cannot be met in most cases, which poses hidden dangers for long-term safe and stable operation.

In view of the above problems, Baoding has developed a new type of environmental protection aluminum copper rare earth alloy grounding material for Electrical Technology Co., Ltd. In the corrosion process of the grounding material after being buried in the soil, the copper element in the matrix diffuses and enriches to the surface, and the aluminum-copper alloy corrosion product is formed on the surface. The long-period buried test results show that the SW-ACR rare earth alloy grounding material has similar grounding electrical properties and corrosion resistance to pure copper. High-quality welding can be achieved by ordinary argon arc welding process; the emission concentration of heavy metal ions in the soil is only 1/7 of pure copper and copper-clad steel materials, which is far from meeting the requirements of relevant environmental quality standards.

In terms of cost performance, the material cost of using rare earth alloy grounding materials to build grounding grids is only about 50% of pure copper, but the corrosion resistance is equivalent to that of pure copper materials, which can meet the life requirements of more than 40 years.

It is an inevitable trend in the future to develop grounding materials other than copper materials to reduce or avoid a large number of heavy metal materials buried in the soil, and it is also one of the important requirements for the construction of green power grid. It is of great significance to adopt standard parts technology and further standardize the on-site construction technology to ensure the long-term stability and reliability of grounding grid construction quality and electrical performance.
