System function

arc monitor
The arc monitor is designed as a modular unit, designed to suit various types and sizes of medium and low voltage switches.
It is designed according to functional safety, is SIL according to iec61508 and iec62061 certification, and attaches great importance to product reliability. This corresponds to performance class d according to EN ISO 13849-1. The security functions are handled entirely by the hardware. In addition, the system, the trip log and the user interface are all formed by a microprocessor.

Connection
All connections can be secured from the Arc system™Front-end access. The pluggable junction box allows wiring prior to installation of the TVOC-2 into the cabinet.
The solid-state trip contacts are IGBT type, which ensures fast and reliable tripping.

Current sensor (optional)
The sensing unit (CSU-2) is optional. The CSU-2 continuously measures the current, up to 3 phases, and is neutral to ensure that the light is generated by the arc flash.
